Acting & Movement - final

For some reason the thing just wouldn't load on blogger's server, so I uploaded it to Youtube.

final animation

Finally got it to post to blogger. It's smaller, but doesn't have as much compression as the YouTube video.

Hey, not bad man... it looks pretty fluid. I only see one itty bitty snag on the second last jump when he lands. It just seems like he gets stuck for a split second, when he hunches down to jump again. Pretty minor though. Over all great work!

Great job~ Most of motions of head, tail and jump are really good. But just one problem I'm thinking is about first jump. When the dog lands from the first jump, it seems like short. I think the dog needs little more jump of oval. Just first jump. Great work!!

I didn't notice it last night but the jumping seems a little even.. might also be the tiny resolution I'm squinting at to see due to the blog. Maybe try and break up the landing of his actual paws so they don't all hit on even intervals. maybe have a good weight bearing paw hit first *front* and then followed a second later by the other front paw. except adjust the shoulders to absorb the shock. this should give you a more natural jump. Goodluck buddy!

I realy enjoy the begining but I would like to see the second jump happen a bit sooner ..it seems like he sits their for just a frame or 2 to long

Very Good Feedback Folks! Here is what I would like for you to consider: At the beginning, you have the dog twitch, tilt his head, and then jump. Repeat this for all of his actions: when he lands, let his foot hit, then flex shoulder, lower rib-cage, drop pelvis, etc. (not too many frames, but let it layer from one pose to the next).

Hey Nate. I really like the beginning hesitation with the tail wag, very nice touch. I would really like to see the dog jump directly head on overtop of the camera. Right now his lean over to the left doesn't feel as strong as him jumping directly over the camera. I also think that the pause between the jumps is just a tad
too long, the drawing definitely holds, but I think you could afford to get rid of a keyframe.

This is Josh if the blog doesn't post right.

i really like the camera angle you have for this. it really conveys the dog's jump well. maybe you could add a few frames at the apex of the dogs jump to emphasize it a little more. im pretty sure steve martino said something like that about the mayor of whoville, when he was stuffing things into a box. just a thought. looks great

the motion blur and camera shake work nice. I like the hesitation on the first jump. The third jump feels like the dog jumps straight up into the air instead of over or past the camera.
